ESOL Classes
Our ESOL provision supports learners from Pre-Entry through to Level 2 English, enabling individuals to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing for everyday communication, education, and employment. In addition, we deliver Business English and workplace communication courses designed to strengthen professional language skills, enhance employability, and increase confidence in work environments.
Our classes run at The Lowry Academy, M28 0SY, with the following schedule:

Pre-Entry: Saturdays 11:15–13:15

These sessions provide structured progression pathways for learners at different stages of English language development.
Conversation Club
Our Conversation Club provides 100% speaking-focused practice in a relaxed, welcoming, and supportive environment, designed to help learners develop confidence and improve fluency in real-life English. Each 2-hour session includes a range of interactive activities such as group discussions, role plays, games, and practical everyday communication tasks, while also encouraging social connection within the local community.
The club currently runs on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00 at Walkden Gateway, M28 3EZ.
Art Workshops
Our art workshops for children and adults offer fun, engaging, and inclusive family learning experiences that foster creativity, self-expression, and community connection. Through practical, hands-on activities, participants are encouraged to develop new skills, explore a range of cultures and ideas, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful time together in a welcoming and supportive setting.
Workshops take place at The Lowry Academy, M28 0SY, on Fridays from 18:00 to 20:00, with upcoming sessions scheduled for 12/06 and 26/06.
Early Years Programme
Our Early Years Programme provides fun, engaging, and inclusive sessions for young children and their parents or carers, supporting early learning, creativity, communication, and social development. Through a variety of play-based activities, stories, crafts, songs, and sensory experiences, families can learn together, build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with others in a welcoming and supportive community environment.

Empower Her – Women and Girls Empowerment Programme
Our Empower Her programme provides a supportive and inspiring environment where women and girls can develop their English language skills while building confidence, communication abilities, and self-esteem. Through interactive discussions, wellbeing activities, practical life skills workshops, and personal development sessions, participants are encouraged to express themselves, pursue their aspirations, and become more confident in everyday life, education, and the wider community.

The programme offers a welcoming space for women and girls to learn, connect with others, develop new skills, and support one another in achieving their personal and educational goals.
Health and Wellbeing – Speak, Belong and Be Well
Our Health and Wellbeing programme supports learners in improving their English while developing the knowledge and confidence needed to access health services, understand health information, and communicate effectively about their wellbeing. Through practical language activities, health-focused discussions, and community-based learning, participants build everyday health vocabulary, increase their confidence, and gain a better understanding of both physical and mental wellbeing in the UK.
The programme combines ESOL learning, conversation practice, and health-themed activities, creating a supportive environment where learners can improve their English, make social connections, and develop skills that promote healthier and more independent lives.

We are currently developing a range of inclusive Digital Skills programmes designed to help learners build confidence in using technology for everyday tasks, employment, communication, and accessing online services. These practical and supportive sessions will cover essential digital skills, enabling participants to become more independent and confident in an increasingly digital world.
Our courses will be tailored to learners with different levels of English and digital experience, with translated resources and additional support provided where possible to ensure that learning is accessible, engaging, and welcoming for everyone.

Community Connections Programme – Coming Soon
Our Community Connections Programme will bring together people from different backgrounds, cultures, and communities to build understanding, respect, and positive relationships. Through interactive discussions, shared activities, cultural awareness workshops, and community events, participants will have opportunities to connect with others, learn from different perspectives, and strengthen their sense of belonging.
The programme aims to promote inclusion, celebrate diversity, reduce social isolation, and encourage stronger community cohesion. By creating safe and welcoming spaces for dialogue and collaboration, we hope to challenge stereotypes, increase cultural understanding, and contribute to reducing discrimination, prejudice, hate crime, and community tensions.
